PJL is an acronym for Please Just Listen, is the sophomore project from artist Rewind aka Realness. The tape is not only a music experience but also a music experiment. Hosted and produced by Djay Cas of ‘The Academy’(Bag Music –USDA, Raw Footage –Ice Cube) and completely written by Rewind himself. The experiment is similar to the ‘six degrees of separation’ theory, the Rewind asks everyone to take a listen and pass it on to someone they know. The thought process is that everyone knows someone important in the music industry somehow. The tape features major production from The Academy, but is also backed by beats from the likes of Young Yonny(Say Ahh –Trey Songz), VTZ, KA Beats, Rick Kaine Productions, CK Beats, and more.
“My first album had no famous guest appearances.” Rewind requites from his favorite artist Nas. He wanted to do away with the overuse of features on his mixtape so that the listener could get a true and full hearing of him rather than who he can work with. However the tape does have some of his in house artist from his label Fresh Epidemics Ent. (Kevin Reed, J. Ri), and also a verse from a Quad City local area artist PZy(IOE Ent.)
